Before Meets After - A Very French Black and White Bathroom Makeover

So I have to share my bathroom makeover with you.
When I first moved into my home I loved the old character charm and the shabby chic touches throughout with modern flair. I immediately had a vision & knew I wanted to turn the plain black & white checkboard ceramic title floor & claw tub into a masterpiece.
To really appreciate my vision I will have to take you way back to the day when I first viewed my home. Ironically I took pictures of what it looked like on my showing.

Here she is. The wrong color shower curtain...but OMG the possibilities!!

Of course when I first moved in I just rushed to make the home "liveable" before diving full force into decorating.....and it stayed this way for quite a bit because I was overwhelmed with orders I didn't have enough time to finish my vision. I changed the shower curtain, hug up a few "chic" hat boxes on the wall & threw down a rug. Plain & simple I know...but my vision was yet to come.

So there she stayed for almost a year sadly...I even created a lot of my designs you see in my shoppe specifically for my bathroom (crown candle holders, my french romance damask wall plaque collection, embroidered towels, etc...) but had yet to finish up the bathroom. I typically take off 1 day a month for myself. I know that sounds crazy lol, but most days I am so swamped with creating orders I barely have time to do anything else.
I started with a flocked damask shower curtain. I scooped her up from Homegoods. Oh, how I love finding treasures in there. The velvet flocking of the damask just makes the floor pop! And really emphasizes the checkboard subway tile floor. I also added some gorgeous damask towels & my own created french royal crown embroidered towel.

But of course I didn't stop there. I needed to get rid of that old pull down shade, add a black cute valance, faux white wood blinds, black drapery rod & of course my french romance damask collection wall plaques. She was finally starting to take shape.

I had painted wooden mirrors in a gorgeous metallic silver paint months ago for the bathroom, so I finally hung them above the toilet area. Adding mirrors to small rooms creates the vision of a larger room. I've always loved that. But it still was missing something, so I re-used a wrought iron fleur de lis grill & placed it above the 4 mirrors & ta-da!

I know some of the pictures aren't that bright....I forgot to use my flash & took them with my camera phone. But you get the general idea. Just a lesson to show you that you can take the boring & turn it into something wonderful, chic & modern with a few simple DIY touches.

I hope I have inspired you :)

A Very Shabby Parisian Makeover

Of course it is still winter here in NJ & cold indeed but I continue to have spring on my mind so have opted to take down my "cold winter decor" and give my room a fresh spring look.
It seems that every store I wander into nowadays is filled with Shabby Parisian French Decor!
So ironic that when I started Royal Bebe Shoppe it was almost non-existent!

I love mixing different items from my own collection, friends collections & even the local craft stores.

Here is my tv armoire in my living room. Adorning french, shabby parisian flair!

How stinking cute is the wire birdcage!! I filled her with some shabby pink flowers & she came to life!

My adorable flitter paris wand from my sweet friend Jamie at http://www.shoponalark.etsy.com/ now has a new home!! She's adorning a glass milk bottle!

Now onto the fireplace mantle.....how about some chic apothecary jars, seashells, pearls, decorative boxes, tins, moss, chic little birdie & My absolute favorite dress form ever!!! She is covered in french script linen fabric!! She is going to be a new prop in the shop...and perhaps be an item for sale too ;)

So my question to all my fabulous followers is "How are you beating the winter blues?"
Get inspired, be inspired by every little thing you see, touch & hear!!

Happy decorating,

New French Market Arrivals - Indoor Herb Gardens & Breakfast Serving Trays

Happy Friday & Bonjour my lovelies!!!
I must say I am so done & tired of the cold winter we're having here. The 5-foot snowstorm we had 2 weeks ago has still yet to melt & on top of it we had another snowstorm a few days ago....so guess what? I have spring on my mind in my new designs & creations.
I have kept a journal of all my ideas and am finally able to put in some time to work on them after a very busy holiday season.

I love adding organic herbs in practially all of my dishes I make so I decided to make an indoor herb garden...which can also be used for flowers or moss balls. I use French Basil like it's going out of style lol, so I grabbed some organic potted herbs & went to town playing off my most sought after designs & ta da!!
I have a french royal crown, queen bee, le fleur de lis and paris hotel les etoiles design.

Custom designs & even monogram designs are also available for custom order purchase. Please convo me for details :)

The fun for me didnt stop there though. I also decided to create adorable matching galvanized tin huge raw silver breakfast serving trays in the Paris Hotel Les Etoiles and Royal Crown Designs. Custom designs can also be accomidated.

And that was all I could fit in today with all the orders i'm trying to fill but I promise you I have soooooo much more new stuff to come.
Stay warm & happy crafting & designing

New French Market Floating Candle Holders in 3-d

To give my customers the best experience while shopping online at either my etsy store or my website, I am now going to start offering videos of my products so you're able to view the item in 3 dimensional form just as if you were at the store looking at it so that there are absolutely no surprises :)

First up is my new French Market Glass cylinder candle holders which are great for the use of floating candles & glass gems (not included).

I offer these in various designs & can even create custom designs to your specifications for an event, party or even a wedding!

I WILL perfect the lighting next time I do a video of a new item. It was too dark. I should've used the flash like I did on the camera to really show how these look.

More Coming Soon :)

New Pillow Design - French Market Paris Font Collage with Fleur De Lis

So....last night I was in the mood to create a Paris collage out of various fonts.
She turned out so pretty I decided to add a fleur de lis in the top right hand corner, turn her into custom printed fabric, add a few clear rhinestones & some black vintage seam binding.

Here is the results.

What do you guys think? No two fonts are alike. That is what makes her even more unique. And btw, I don't know why I always refer to my items as a "her or she" I think they're too girly to be referred to as a he, lol.

More coming soon
