A Very Proud Sister
There are some things my fellow bloggers and customers do not know about me. One of them I am so very proud of.
When I was 3 years old my parents got divorced. They had 2 kids. Myself & an older brother. My Dad re-married & had 3 more sons with my step-mother before he passed away 3 years ago. The youngest, Garrett Reynolds (now 21) is a Professional BMX Rider & has won countless gold medals and trophies all around the world including the gold the past 2 years at the X-Games.
Because there is a 11 year age gap between him & I when we were younger I used to babysit him & he used to play with these little trick bikes and create bmx riding parks for hours & hours making up amazing tricks with the bikes to do on the ramps....little did we know that 1 day he would use that as inspiration and be the rider on the bike to actually make those tricks come to life.
My father used to travel all around the world with him & even opened up his own BMX Sneaker Company. He knew that Garrett was going to make it to the top. Little did we know that in just a short year after Garrett started riding his bike that he would be entering contests & becoming a professional bmx rider & have amazing sponsors like Nike before that age of 16.
Garrett helped to change my father. He showed my dad how great life is & I've never seen my dad so happy & glowing. May he R.I.P.
A few months ago I was told by my stepmom that Garrett Reynolds would soon have his own trick bike toy designed, packaged and sold to kids just like he was as a child all over the country.
Today, that day has come & I couldn't be happier and/or have a bigger grin to grin smiling. I know my dad is probably playing with these in heaven as we speak.
I've listed a picture of his new accomplishment. Once of the best things about my brother is that he is not your typical cocky athlete. He truly just loves what he does and is he wins or loses it doesn't matter because he doesn't get discouraged & just enjoys riding his bike.
He's currently in the process of having a bike frame and sneakers designed for him as well amongst many other things so I will continue to post ventures as they happen.
I am such a proud sister :)
xoxoxo
